Together, we make a difference
People fleeing their homes deserve protection and support. That’s why we stand up for asylum seekers and refugees, offering help at every (emergency) shelter. For over 45 years, refugees in the Netherlands have been able to rely on the Dutch Council for Refugees.
You can help too by supporting our work with a donation. Join us and give now - because no one flees by choice.

Support for refugees
Our dream is for refugees to participate in society from day one. That’s why we offer a warm welcome to those seeking asylum in the Netherlands and guide them from arrival to a future. We also create moments of joy for children through holiday camps and special projects, giving them the chance to simply be kids again.
Protection of refugees' rights
Refugees can always count on us to safeguard their rights and interests. Beyond providing guidance, we advocate for them at local, national, and international levels with our extensive legal expertise. In some cases, we fight for justice all the way to the highest court.
A warm welcome in The Netherlands
Beyond our political and legal efforts, we actively engage the public in supporting refugees. Through media campaigns on radio, TV, and online, as well as school programs, storytelling, and community activities, we raise awareness and foster understanding.
